New South Wales

In the last month I had a lot of different weather conditions and there was also a huge difference between the landscapes. New South Wales is really different than Queensland. In my opinion the people are not as relaxed as in QL. But I think it’s the weather that makes the people a little bit more stressed. Of course on my first stop in Byron Bay and Nimbin it was very, very relaxed. 🙂 Byron is well known for his living Hippie culture and you really fell in that mood if you stay there. But south of this point you really feel the difference, especially on the streets. If you drive a little bit slower than the limit you will be overtaken all the times also in dangerous sections.

The stops on the trip in NSW were:

  • Byron Bay and Nimbin
  • Coffs Harbour
  • Nambucca Heads
  • Port Macquarie
  • Nelson Bay
  • Sydney (5 nights)
  • Kiama
  • Jervis Bay and Booderee National Park
  • South Durras
  • Batemans Bay and Bingi-Bingi Point
  • Narooma
  • Eden

It`s not easy to say which locations are the best. Of course Sydney was beautiful. Byron was relaxed. But I think the Bingi Bingi Point was my favourite. Because it was not easy to find and most of the People here doesn’t know anything about this spectacular place.
Bingi Bingi Point is a Geological site of NSW. The rocks there are more than 400 million years old and there are two different types of rocks side by side. You can also see intrusions from Magma and the boiler of the ship SS Monaro which was wrecked in 1879.
